Description

Several types of wind speed sensors or anemometers can be installed depending on the desired accuracy and the usage environment.

  • Cup anemometer (Robinson)
  • Propeller anemometer
  • Ultrasonic anemometer

Similarly, several types of wind direction sensors or vanes can be installed depending on the desired accuracy and the usage environment.
Their function is to show the origin of the wind.

Characteristics

Depending on the desired accuracy and the usage environment, METEO OMNIUM determines the type of anemometer and/or vane to install.
Both sensors can sometimes be combined in one unit (see sensor 1 example).

To maintain the accuracy of the sensor, it is necessary to subject it to an inspection once a year.

Wind direction:
Measuring range : 0 to 360°
Trigger threshold : 1,7 m/s for 10 degrees of travel

Operational temperature : from -50 to +50°C
