Description
The smart MORS road sensor (patented system - METEO OMNIUM Road Sensor) is composed of a motherboard and sensors indicating with great precision :
- Road surface temperature : this data allows determining the formation of ice.
- Sub-surface temperature -4cm under the road ( possible option to add -15 and -30 cm as well).
- Road surface state, that is the level of humidity present on the surface : wet, humid, dry, etc.
- Liquid freezing temperature on the road
- Percentage of de-icing material remaining on the road surface allows knowing if the surface is at risk of freezing depending on meteorological events.
The sensor collects its measurements, analyses, and treats the data yhen transmits via RS485.
The MORS road surface sensor is used in winter viability (RWIS) as a decision-making assistance tool by offering real road conditions.
