VIGIL'ICE is a wireless road sensor, patented by METEO OMNIUM in 2021. This road sensor is mainly used for winter viability (RWIS / road weather information systems). Road surfaces are subjected to great temperature fluctuations. The reading VIGIL'ICE collects allow anticipating and thus better managing road surface treatments to prevent black ice and frost. These readings are strategic for road network operators both for road maintenance and user security.
